One Shot Mirror

A round mirror with intimate details. A single bar of steel or brass is rolled into a ring and precision machined by hand to connect the ends with a half lap joint, commonly found in traditional woodworking.

One side of the half lap joint is machined back to create a notch that gently interrupts the circle, creating a dynamic tension to the pure form. A steel, stainless steel or brass pin holds the joint together.

Clear glass mirror
Chamfered (beveled) steel or brass plates are machined to match the outer frame and reveal the construction of how the frame and mirror are held together
Matching plates are standard, contrasting plates are available
Small pin that secures the joint is available to match or contrast the frame
Z-Clips (French cleats) are included for installation
