Caste is furniture, lighting, and objects designed by Ty Best. Based in Montana with a small collaborative team of exceptional woodworkers and finishers, Ty is inspired by natural forms, sculpture, brutalist architecture, and the workmanship of traditional crafts.

During his early career in fashion, fine art, and installation design, Ty became fascinated with the structures used to present his art, seeing them as art in themselves. His focus grew into sculptural furniture with an expressive language of shaped natural materials. Each object is an experimentation in fluidity and skillful control — a dialog of meaning and functionality.
